From a global pandemic, natural disasters, and general life events, 2021 has been a year for the books. In February 2021, Fusion Marketplace made its grand debut as the industry’s first traveler-driven job platform. Let’s rewind to take a look at the first year of Fusion Marketplace.
2021 agency partnerships
Fusion Marketplace was developed to give healthcare travelers the control they deserve over their careers. Partnerships with nationwide healthcare staffing agencies allows Marketplace to advertise a wide variety of job options for travel nurses and other allied health professionals. In 2021, Marketplace welcomed a total of six healthcare staffing companies, and they are:
Fusion Medical Staffing
As the first agency partner, Fusion Medical Staffing has been with Fusion since the start. Fusion Med Staffing specializes within the nursing and allied healthcare fields to help facilities bridge the gap in their staffing needs.
Axis Medical Staffing
GetMed Medical Staffing
Aequor Healthcare Services
Since 2001, Aequor Healthcare Services has been committed to delivering quality healthcare professionals to a multitude of facilities in need. Through hard work and loyalty, Aequor is now considered one of the "fastest-growing workforce solution companies in the industry."
Founded with a mission to provide the highest quality nursing and allied professionals to facilities across the country, Lead Healthstaff offers new choices, new opportunities, and new standards to healthcare travelers. Lead Healthstaff utilizes advanced systems, all while they prioritize the human experience.
As the newest agency partner, Atlas joined Fusion Marketplace with top-tier jobs in all 50 states. Not only is Atlas recognized as one of the fastest growing staffing companies, they’re also one of the largest privately held organizations in the healthcare industry.
“If you know anything about Fusion, you know that we’re picky,” said Carrie Polak, Manager of Customer Success for Fusion Marketplace. “We want to work with the best, the best travelers, the best hospitals, the best recruiters and now the best agencies!”
Not yet a Fusion Marketplace agency partner? No worries. Partner with us anytime you're ready and put your agency at the front of a traveler-driven Marketplace. All you need to connect with high-quality healthcare professionals is live on Fusion Marketplace.
Fusion Marketplace feature recap
You should have all the information needed to make educated career decisions—and that’s why Fusion Marketplace exists. Over the past year, Marketplace has evolved and grown to include features that make your life easier as a healthcare traveler. With Fusion Marketplace, you get to enjoy:
Enhanced job and pay transparency
You should know exactly what you’re getting into as a travel nurse or allied health professional. That’s precisely why Fusion Marketplace offers enhanced job and pay transparency for healthcare travelers.
Making the unknowns known, Fusion Marketplace removes the guesswork from your job search, and gives you details ahead of time on:
- Job type
- Assignment location
- Expected weekly hours
- Pay package
- Type of healthcare facility
- Start date
- Shift type
- Length of assignment
- Healthcare staffing agency
The more you know upfront, the less behind-the-scenes investigating you have to do—and that’s the way it should be.
A completely customizable traveler profile
In order to match with travel jobs across the country, you must first customize your traveler profile. Don’t worry—it’s easy!
To build your Marketplace profile, first, input your name, email address, phone number, and decide on an account password. Next, you’ll be asked to verify your email to make sure that you are, in fact, you. Once you verify your email address, you’ll be prompted to complete your profile by adding more details about yourself:
- Upload a profile picture and enter your date of birth, primary specialty/specialties, and write a personal biography. This information is important to include within your traveler profile because staffing agencies can review your information to help you match with your ideal travel jobs.
- Share your previous employment experience and don’t skip out on the details!
- Add your level of education and earned certifications. Within this profile section, you can discuss the relevant CEUs you’ve completed, as well as any other educational efforts you’ve made.
- Include state licenses you’ve obtained.
- Lastly, add your personal and professional references who can vouch for your hard work.
Your customized profile sets you apart from other travelers and helps increase your chances of hire. So, the more detailed and specific you can be, the better your odds are at landing your next travel job.
Traveler job preferences
Not only can you personalize your traveler profile, but with the advanced preferences feature, you can also save your job and travel preferences. That way, you can narrow down search results to only see travel job options that cross items off your checklist.
Within your Marketplace profile, you have the ability to include preferences when it comes to your:
- Healthcare department(s)
- Top five states
- Top 10 cities
- Three shift types
- Three job types
- Available start date
Temporary housing options
One of the biggest headaches of healthcare travel is the temporary housing. Where will you stay? Will you need to find your own furniture? Can you bring your pet? How far away from the facility will you be?
These are all excellent points that should be smoothed out before you hit the road to your travel assignment. And Fusion Marketplace can help. Marketplace partnered with Furnished Finder to give travelers housing options near interested jobs. That way, you can find your travel jobs, plus secure temporary housing all in the same convenient place. Simply click the job posting you're interested in and scroll down to view housing options nearby!
Effortlessly browse through apartments, hotels, condos, and more. With help from Marketplace and Furnished Finder, you can gain more transparency into housing options nearby your next assignment. Not only can you reserve housing, but Marketplace also displays other important details so you can plan and pack accordingly. Check out:
- The type of housing unit
- The estimated monthly rent fee
- Whether or not the unit is fully furnished
- If pets are allowed
- The number of bedrooms and bathrooms
- The available move-in date
- The required minimum stay length
You deserve top-tier housing while you’re working a healthcare assignment. And now you can find it with help from Fusion Marketplace.
Agency recruiter ratings and reviews
Have you ever wanted to rate or review a healthcare recruiter you’ve worked with? Well, you can with Fusion Marketplace. Like you, agency recruiters have their own personal Marketplace profiles. However, their profiles differ because they allow the option for recruiter ratings and reviews.
To leave a recruiter review, first, visit the recruiter’s Marketplace profile. Then, you’ll be asked to answer some questions about yourself to help Marketplace identify you. If you’d rather be left anonymous, there’s an option for that.
Once you’ve completed the questions, you’ll gain full access to write a recruiter rating and/or review. If you’re riding the struggle bus on what to write, start with your rating. On a five-star scale, you have the option to rate these six characteristics:
- Did the recruiter have the ability to meet my needs?
- Did my recruiter practice expert communication?
- Was the recruiter knowledgeable about the industry?
- Did you feel like you and your recruiter were a strong fit?
- Was the recruiter thoughtful of you, your wants/needs, and your time?
- Overall, do you feel your recruiter was efficient?
Recruiter ratings and reviews give traveler’s an advantage when searching for a healthcare recruiter to work with. As you hunt for your next travel job, engage in some light reading, and check out what others have had to say about their recruiter experience.
From onboarding six healthcare staffing companies to implementing new and improved features for travelers, Fusion Marketplace has had a year of extraordinary growth. But if you thought 2021 was a year for the books, just wait until you see what Marketplace has in store for the new year!
